Paint St Neots every colour of the rainbow and help fill people’s final days with love

Is the message from volunteers and fundraisers at Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice as they launch PaintRush St Neots 2022.

The colourful 5km outdoor fun run, supported by Right at Home, Premier Plus and iDash, takes place on 26th June 2022 at Riverside Park in St Neots, raising vital funds for Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire families needing the expert and compassionate palliative care of the Sue Ryder hospice.

Joanne Landucci, Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice is helping organise the event. She said, “PaintRush is a bold and beautiful event to brighten up summer. You can walk, jog, skip or run around the course, getting showered in multi-coloured paint while supporting a much-loved local charity.

“It’s a fab event for all the family too – we welcome children taking part from age five upwards. Why not put the date in your diary, sign up and come join us? You’ll cross the finish line covered in colour with a big smile on your face, while taking home some amazing memories and the feel good factor that you’ve helped local families needing support.”

Registration for the event is open now at www.sueryder.org/stjohnspaintrush.

Standard tickets cost £18 per adult, and £12 per young adult (12 to 17 years) and children aged 5 to 12 cost £8, but those signing up before the end of March will receive 20% off the ticket price.

Included in this participants will receive a free T-shirt, a sachet of paint and voucher for 25% off food and drink at the onsite Ambience Café.

With the event such fun to take on with family, friends and colleagues the charity is offering special group ticket options available too.

Chelsea Zwetsloot is on the committee of volunteers working alongside Joanne to arrange the event. She said she hopes lots of people will sign up and join them at PaintRush St Neots to help brighten up 2022.

“We really wanted to put on a special event to help support a truly special place, which is close to the hearts of many of us,” shared Chelsea. “I will never forget the phenomenal care Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice gave to me and my family when my grandad was cared for in their inpatient unit.”

“But the main message I want to share is that this family friendly event is for everyone whether you have had any experience of Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice or not – you are warmly welcome to come join us for bags full of colourful fun!”
