An experienced commercial property solicitor has returned to a North Wales law firm after spending five years working for national firms in Birmingham.
Clarissa Pritchard has joined Lanyon Bowdler’s commercial property team in Conwy, bringing extensive experience in residential development work.
Clarissa, who qualified as a solicitor more than eight years ago, previously worked for Shakespeare Martineau and Ward Hadaway LLP in Birmingham city centre.
During that time, she acted for a number of PLC housebuilders and landowners on the acquisition and disposal of land for residential developments across the country.
She said returning to Lanyon Bowdler represented an opportunity to bring that experience back to the region and develop her specialist practice in North Wales.
Clarissa said: “It is an exciting opportunity to bring the experience I’ve gained working in major city law firms into a firm with such a strong reputation and presence across Wales and the Marches.
“I specialise in residential development, and am looking forward to developing my practice further and working with clients on projects across North Wales and beyond.
“What has struck me most since joining is the strength of the relationships within the firm and the genuine connection it has with the communities it serves.
“The team in Conwy has been incredibly welcoming, and there is a real sense of ambition alongside a very personable and supportive working environment.
“For me, the move represents an exciting new chapter – combining the experience I’ve gained in Birmingham with the opportunity to practise on home soil and in a part of Wales that I feel connected to.”
Clarissa said one of the attractions of specialising in residential development was being involved throughout the life of a project.
“What I love about being a residential development solicitor is seeing a project through from start to finish – from acquiring the land and navigating the legal process, to watching the scheme take shape and ultimately become a reality,” she said.
“There is something particularly rewarding about seeing the tangible result of a project that I have helped bring to life.”
Clarissa is based at Lanyon Bowdler’s Conwy office and will work with clients on residential development projects across North Wales and further afield.
