Nottinghamshire Mind launches Thrive: Mental health training, to support healthier workplaces

Nottinghamshire Mind is proud to announce the launch of its new Thrive Mental Health Training programmes, designed to help organisations create supportive, inclusive environments where employees feel valued, understood and able to thrive.

Mental health affects every workplace, every team, and every individual. When people are struggling, it can impact not only their wellbeing, but also their confidence, performance, and connection with others.

Nottinghamshire Minds mission is to educate, empower and support people across Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City by providing training that builds mental resilience for everyone.

Their training is flexible and accessible, delivered either in person or online and ranges from bite-size lunchtime sessions to comprehensive bespoke one-day and two-day courses, with packages starting from £200.

They take time to understand your organisation, your challenges, and your goals, so they can create training that truly works for you. Their approach is inclusive and adaptable, supporting language barriers, working confidently with neurodiverse groups, accessibility for those with physical disabilities, including deaf or hard of hearing. Every programme is bespoke and carefully tailored so your team can fully engage and benefit.

Some of the topics they deliver are:

  • Stress awareness and management.
  • Understanding anxiety and depression.
  • Bereavement and supporting others through loss.
  • Self-care and building resilience.
  • Healthy boundaries and communication.
  • Emotional regulation and resilience.
  • Workplace wellbeing.
  • Active listening and supportive conversations.

Organisations partnering with Nottinghamshire Mind benefit from:

  • Local knowledge and insight into the challenges faced by communities across Nottinghamshire.
  • Experienced and approachable trainers who create safe, open learning environments.
  • A person-centred approach that recognises every individual’s unique experience.
  • Practical, easy-to-use strategies that support real change.
  • A collaborative approach to ensure training meets organisational needs.

Lindsay Simpson, Chief Operating Officer at Nottinghamshire Mind, said:“Workplaces play a vital role in supporting mental health. With Nottinghamshire Mind, Thrive Mental Health Training, we’re giving organisations the tools and confidence to create environments where people feel safe, valued and able to speak openly about how they’re feeling. This is about more than one size fits all training; it’s about creating lasting cultural change that benefits both individuals and organisations.”
