New visitor experience for natural skincare company Pure Lakes skincare

Pure Lakes is an award winning, natural skincare company based in the Lake District. Their dedicated, small team make the complete range by hand in small batches and they value excellence, precision and passion over mass production every time.

The company was bought by Claire and Gareth Mckeever in 2016. They were long-standing customers before making the leap to becoming owners! The business started originally with 2 people but it now employs sixteen people on a part and full time basis.

Claire and Gareth are delighted to announce that they are building a new, bespoke workshop for the company. The business has grown to the point where they need new premises to expand and deal with growing demand. The bigger space will enable them to create further employment in a rural area. Ultimately they will be creating a visitor experience where people can come and watch products being made and even make some themselves.

It has been a challenging time with securing planning permission and raising capital. It has taken nearly four year to reach this point and the couple have had to spend over six figures in professional fees and surveys. When they broke ground in January it felt like a significant milestone had been reached.
