First ever Butterfly Memory Walk success for KEMP Hospice

Kidderminster charity KEMP Hospice are celebrating the success of their first ever Butterfly Memory Walk held on Saturday 12th February at Harvington Hall. Over 120 supporters came along to enjoy an atmospheric stroll around the grounds at dusk, with entertainment from Rock Choir, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Stourbridge and delicious refreshments provided by The Malthouse Café.

Jayne Sargeant, KEMP Hospice Fundraiser said “We were delighted to welcome so many of our supporters to our first Butterfly Memory Walk at the stunning grounds and historic buildings at Harvington Hall. It was an enchanting and emotional evening, raising a fabulous £6,823.00 towards our patient’s free specialist care”. Alongside the walk, supporters were welcomed in The Great Kitchen, where a harpist could be heard performing peaceful music to the backdrop of the roaring log fire. Whilst listening to the gentle music, families had the opportunity to write in-memory messages for their loved ones who are no longer with us, on a softly lit Butterfly Memory Tree.

Jayne continued, “We are incredibly grateful to Harvington Hall, Rock Choir and The Malthouse Café for their support on the evening, with special thanks to our sponsor TWS Windows and Doors, Kidderminster. We’d also like to once again thank all our supporters who attended, donated and fundraised for our care, this is simply a wonderful amount to raise for KEMP Hospice”.

The event was kindly sponsored by TWS (Kidderminster) Ltd. Tim Winterburn CEO said “TWS are delighted to have sponsored this lovely new Butterfly Memory Walk for KEMP Hospice. It was great to see so many supporters enjoy the evening, whilst raising a fabulous amount for KEMP Hospice”
