RSS Infrastructure Ltd become certified with the ‘Driving For Better Business’ commitment scheme

Commitment For Better Driving Award

RSS Infrastructure Ltd are proud to announce its latest safety-based accreditation Driving For Better Business (DfBB), a government-backed Highways England programme to help employers in both the private and public sectors reduce work-related road risk, decrease the associated costs and improve compliance with current legislation and guidance.

The company’s Fleet Management Department recently completed the self-assessment portion of the registration process through the ‘7 Steps of Excellence’, by supplying evidence of their safety process that include; Vehicle Track System (VTS), monitored dash cameras, mobile phone app pre-check driver form procedure and Fatigue Monitors; a dash-mounted device that works by focussing on the driver’s retina and measures their ‘blinking pattern’ sounding audible warning if signs of drowsiness, fatigue or lack of attention is detected. RSS Infrastructure passed the assessment with a staggering 86%, beating the national average of 63% on its first attempt.

RSS Infrastructure are delighted to align themselves with a scheme that shares its aims and objectives regarding employee and public vehicle safety. The standards the company will adhere too will see them   reduce maintenance costs, fleet insurance/excess costs, third party claims costs, fuel use and emissions, business mileage claims and hidden management and admin costs.
