Owen Payne Recruitment team up with Compton Care to raise money for the City Cycle Challenge

On Friday 28th June 2019, Owen Payne Recruitment teamed up with Compton Care to raise money for the City Cycle Challenge. The challenge itself was devised as part of the WMCA’s Mayor’s Giving Day and the event was organised in partnership with Compton Care and St Mary’s Hospice.

The main challenge was to race against other local teams to cover the furthest distance possible in just 40 minutes! Armed with dedication and a charitable spirt, Owen Payne staff, Clare, Craig, James and Elise took it in turns on the Olympic style standstill bike to compete against teams in Wolverhampton and Birmingham. The hard work paid off and the Owen Payne team won the category of the Wolverhampton Rider who cycled the furthest distance!

All in all it was a fantastic day and Owen Payne Recruitment managed to raise a whopping £360 for the compassionate charity that is Compton Care.  Compton Care provide unrivalled support to those living with complex or incurable illnesses and offer a helping hand to their families.  As part of 20 year anniversary celebrations,  Owen Payne Recruitment are carrying out charitable activities throughout 2019 as part of a community project to give back to the Black Country.  Owen Payne Recruitment have also partnered up with Compton Care to provide ongoing support with future fundraising events.
