The Newsline PR team has been shortlisted for Outstanding Small PR Consultancy at this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations awards
Leading public relations agency Newsline PR is renowned for breaking news on behalf of its clients but is now making a splash itself after being shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.
The Leamington-based PR firm is in the running to be named the Midlands’ “Outstanding Small PR Consultancy” by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
Newsline, which has an impressive portfolio of international and national clients, has already made it to the final four and is now looking to scoop the coveted prize at the CIPR’s glittering awards ceremony in Birmingham later this month.
The family-run agency, which has recently opened an office in Bank, London, was set up in 1979 by former international journalist Nigel Robinson, who is now company chairman. His son Peter Robinson is managing director.
Peter said: “We have an experienced and talented team here and this award nomination is a fitting recognition of their hard work, imagination and creativity.
“We pride ourselves on being a forward-thinking agency. Gone are the days when a PR campaign is defined by the amount of press cuttings we achieve. Clients now want to see their brand across as many platforms as possible, so we have to continuously up our game to stay at the forefront of the industry.”
As well as working with Mars Petcare, Newsline has earned a number of new client wins this year including a leading European pallet provider, a number of national logistics firms and, a touch closer to home, the renowned Warwickshire conference and exhibition venue NAEC Stoneleigh.
Newsline’s award nomination also coincides with the company’s 40th anniversary this year, something being marked by an innovative ‘40 acts of kindness’ campaign which has so far seen the big-hearted agency deliver red roses to residents of a retirement village on Valentine’s Day and link-ups forged with Save the Children and the British Legion.
Newsline will find out whether it has been crowned the CIPR’s outstanding small agency at the Midlands Awards ceremony at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre on Friday, September 27.
