Inspiring ladies take to the catwalk in the second annual Blossom Fashion Show

Over 250 guests arrived at the Shire Hall in Hereford last month to celebrate an evening of confidence, strength and style at the second Breast Cancer Haven Blossom Fashion Show.

This emotionally charged event took place to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford, whilst empowering the inspirational models who took part, all of whom are visitors at the charity’s Hereford centre.

Breast Cancer Haven is a national charity that supports women throughout or after their breast cancer treatment. When breast cancer tries to rob a woman of her individuality, confidence or strength, Breast Cancer Haven provides a tailored package of emotional, physical and practical support that helps her hold on to them.

The 19 models involved in this year’s Blossom Fashion Show have all been affected by breast cancer and received free support from Breast Cancer Haven.

Compered by Callie Campbell, Fundraising Assistant at Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford, guests enjoyed two performances from Choral Diversity choir as well as an auction and raffle ran by Santander. The models were supported by their friends, families, colleagues and newly elected Madam Mayor, Cllr Kath Hey, who said, “I thoroughly enjoyed a truly wonderful evening celebrating strong women and I felt very privileged to be part of a charitable event which raised money for such a worthy cause.”

The event was kindly supported by a fantastic team of volunteers, hairdressers and make-up artists as well as many local and national businesses, including Proton International, New Look, Monsoon, Club Sport, Ganesha, Rob Elt Shoes, Cherry Savidge, Satin & Silk, Hat Trick, Pritchards and Annie Mee. This year, the event has raised over £16,000 for Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford, which will enable the centre, based on St Owen’s Street, Hereford, to continue offering free support to anyone affected by breast cancer.
