Staff at the Mary Stevens Hospice are running a number of community events as part of Hospice Care Week 2019.
The team from the Oldswinford charity will be putting on information events for the local community during the week commencing the 7th October, as hospices up and down the country shine a spotlight on their work under the banner of the national awareness week.
On Wednesday 9th October, the Hospice will open its doors to the public between 1-4pm to offer supporters and members of the local community to speak with staff and volunteers, tour the facilities and gardens and see the new £3 million day services unit which opened at the turn of the year. The drop-in event is pre-registration only and interested attendees can either visit the Hospice website or email: esther.olivier@marystevenshospice.co.uk to book.
Then the team will be taking to the road, running an information event at Halesowen Library to give the local community an insight into the work the Hospice does out in the Dudley Borough. Staff and volunteers will be in the library between 12-2pm and have invited members of the community to join them.

Hospice Care Week is an annual awareness initiative organised by Hospice UK, which this year is themed around the concept of “This is what it takes…”.
