Hospice garden to benefit from business collaboration

A group of businesses based in and around Cheltenham have come together to organise a summer fundraising evening for a hospice having been so impressed by a visit there.

Lexus Cheltenham, Women’s Business Club, Martin & Co jewellers, Three Choirs Vineyard and Bodega are behind the Lexus Ladies Summer Soiree on Thursday 20th June which will raise funds for the garden area at St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford which provides a peaceful retreat for patients and their loved ones.

This week, St Michael’s Community Fundraising Manager Paddy Nugent was presented with £1,750 from the Lexus Fund which is designed for community projects, as plans are stepped up for the event which takes place at Manor by the Lake, Cheltenham.

The Hospice celebrates its 35th birthday this year.

‘We were so impressed with the facility and dedication of Paddy and his volunteers that we felt compelled to organise an event to raise more funds for the Hospice, in particular its gardens,’ said Catherine Kirk, Listers’ Brand Ambassador at Lexus Cheltenham.

‘This is a wonderful community project that brings together volunteers and local business for such a worthwhile and deserving cause, all in the year the Hospice celebrates its 35th anniversary.’

The evening, which is open to men as well as ladies, will feature fashion, jewels, luxury cars and fine wines.

Proceeds from ticket sales and a raffle will go to St Michael’s.
