Harvey celebrates London luxury apartment contract

Luma Development in Kings Cross

Leading Henley-in-Arden based commercial decoration company Harvey UK is celebrating after clinching a contract to decorate an exclusive development of luxury London apartments.

Harvey UK will carry out all of the painting, decorating and finishing work on 61 high-end apartments in the Luma Development in Kings Cross. The £40 million development by Argent LLP overlooks Jellicoe Gardens and Lewis Cubitt Park in one of the most sought-after areas of the capital.

The apartments, many of which will be on the market for well over a million pounds, are on a fully-managed estate. The development includes one, two and three-bedroomed apartments and Conran-designed communal areas.

Harvey UK won the contract against stiff competition, but contractor McLaren was impressed by the company’s work on other luxurious residential developments in the capital.

Harvey UK Managing Director Tony Harvey said they were delighted to be involved in such a prestigious high-value residential project, which is due for completion in March next year.

“We have done other work in Kings Cross on residential, retail and office developments including the Arthouse, the Goods Shed and Tapestry Building projects, so we are familiar with the very high standards of finishing required in what is becoming London’s leading creative quarter,” he said.

Established in 1966, Harvey UK is a family-owned finishing and maintenance specialist, working on major projects in the industrial, education, health, local authority and residential sectors.

With offices in Henley-in-Arden and London, the group has a wide portfolio of blue-chip client projects including JLR, Muller, the NHS, Kier, Balfour Beatty, Skanska, Lendlease and the Royal Air Force.
