This week, GMB Union is in Brighton to hold their annual Congress. This is an essential part of the union’s democracy and is where members decide policies of the union.
On Tuesday, the GMB West Midlands delegation held a dinner and dance event.
Joe Morgan, Regional Secretary, said, “We held this event to say thank you to all our amazing delegates and say a massive thank you for all their hard work.
Whenever we do this, we also like to raise money for a cause that is close to our hearts.
This year, we held a raffle to raise funds for St Mary’s Hospice in Birmingham.
Thanks to the generosity of our activists, we raised a brilliant £500!”
St Mary’s Hospice supports 400 individuals living with life limiting illnesses.
