From Start Up to Standout: Solihull Founder secures double nomination at Chamber Awards

Nicole Lonsdale

Solihull entrepreneur Nic Lonsdale, Founder of Ginger Bucks, has been recognised as one of the region’s rising business leaders with two nominations at the 2025 Solihull Chamber of Commerce Awards. Nic is shortlisted for both Solihull Influencer and Solihull Breakthrough Business, with the winners to be announced at the Chamber’s prestigious Awards Night on 26th September 2025.

In just 12 months, Ginger Bucks has gone from start up to trailblazer: achieving a 5x increase in revenue and a 6x growth in clients. From its Solihull base, the firm has grown into a financial empowerment brand for women founders and young creatives, breaking down barriers in an industry often seen as intimidating or inaccessible.

This is the latest in a series of accolades for Nicole, who earlier this year was awarded the E2 Media Award of Excellence: Best in Accounting Services for Small Business 2025 and named West Midlands Newcomer Accountants of the Year by Business Awards UK.

At the heart of Ginger Bucks is a bold, community first approach. Nicole has launched a structured suite of services (Baby Fawn, Fawn, Doe and Buck packages), created the Content Creator Financial Freedom Planner (now sold on Amazon), hosted financial education webinars, and is preparing to launch a podcast designed to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Speaking about her nominations, Nicole said: “To be recognised in my home town is incredibly special. This double nomination shows what’s possible when young founders challenge industry norms and lead with innovation and authenticity. For me, it’s about proving that financial confidence should be accessible to everyone – and inspiring others to take the leap too.”
