Distance Learning Entrepreneur wins ‘Team of the Year’ Award

Team of the Year

Matt Jones, Founder of Oxbridge Home Learning, has secured the Entrepreneurs’ Team of the Year award at the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards (GBEA) 2018. In a twist of fate, Matt also achieved runner-up in the ‘Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year’ category.

The 36-year-old entrepreneur faced strong competition for the Team of the Year from the likes of Jane Yates & Katie McDermott (Not Dogs), Stacey & Kerry Barsby (Primary PPA Cover) and Sunny Araf (ISA Support Services Ltd).

Now in its sixth year, the GBEA acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of British entrepreneurs and businesses in Great Britain. A new category at this year’s ceremony, the ‘Entrepreneurs’ Team of the Year’ award champions teams who support their leaders and enable them to achieve their goals.

The team’s big win comes after a string of successive entrepreneurial wins for Matt Jones at Nachural, Birmingham Post and the Midlands Business and Community Charity Awards. All this just weeks after appearing as one of the Top 50 Entrepreneurs to look out for in a feature article by the Midlands Insider.

Matt has mentored and guided his team to push the periphery of distance learning and transform people’s lives using cutting-edge learning, design and tutoring to create bigger, better and brighter futures.

A delighted Matt commented: ‘We’re over the moon. My team have set benchmarks for course design and tutor support and are consistently exceeding my expectations to create unforgettable experiences for our students. They really deserve to be on stage, too.

‘We’d like to thank everyone at the GBEA and Robert Half for believing in us. We’re going to use this win to reach higher ground and engage our students in more meaningful ways.’

Guests celebrated Matt’s success alongside other GBEA award winners at the Edgbaston Stadium on Tuesday 13th November 2018.
