Coventry-based inTouch Home Care has achieved the title of Best Live-In Care Provider in the West Midlands in the GHP Social Care Awards 2018.
Established in 2002, inTouch provides a wide range of specialist home care services, including live-in care, a sitting service to relieve family carers, and personal care services such as meal preparation, shopping and companionship.
inTouch is operated by PCB Care, a major UK independent staffing provider for specialist social care, child care, social work and home care sectors. Its services are provided to a diverse range of people, including both adults and children, those suffering from physical and mental disabilities, and those requiring domestic support or end-of-life care.
Winning this accolade follows on from a period of growth in the business, which has included inTouch expanding into new premises. The service has doubled the size of its previous offices in Coventry with a move to Sutherland Road in Matlock House.
In addition to providing large office space for its staff, the new building has enabled the creation of a dedicated training suite and enhanced visitor facilities including an on-site coffee shop where carers can bring service users together for social events.
PCB Care has also brought its training for its carers and support staff in-house and uses classroom-based learning delivered by professional, accredited trainers from these new offices. PCB Care is now targeting expanding the service by commercialising its training offering for other companies in the sector.
This growth has been made possible by the acquisition of PCB and inTouch last year by N-Trust Care Services, which has created a workforce of 40. The business is led by Managing Director John Coyne and majority shareholders Gary Dewhurst and Mark Roberts who now are expanding both company’s operations under the PCB Care name.
