bdht staff continue community pledge with Crabtree Court renovation

bdht’s 1000 hours initiative, which sees employees swapping a day on the job for a day supporting the local community, continued this week as a team of keen gardeners renovated the communal courtyard Crabtree Court, a sheltered housing scheme in Sidemoor.

The team of bdht staff were tasked with giving the central shared courtyard within the complex a complete makeover, which included building three raised flower beds complete with bright summer blooms, as well as the installation of a relaxing water feature surrounded by slate chippings.

Shaun Banks, Voids Manager at bdht, said: “We’re so proud to be a part of the 1000 hours initiative and to be able to give something so meaningful back to the local community. It was a tough day grafting away, but it was completely worthwhile when we stood back and looked at the finished result which will provide a relaxing haven for the residents of Crabtree Court over the summer months and beyond.”
