Forward-thinking fintech organisation, Tintra PLC, has pledged its alliance to the British Asian Trust to help drive equality and justice across South Asia.
In attendance at the Trust’s Annual Reception and Dinner hosted by the Prince of Wales at the British Museum, Tintra PLC senior representatives donated vital funds to the cause and established important connections with fellow stakeholders, united in the charity’s mission to tackle the widespread poverty millions of people are subjected to across the region.
This comes just weeks after Tintra unveiled the launch of its own Charitable Foundation, dedicated to protecting and increasing awareness of the World’s last remaining Hunter-Gatherer Tribes, and is in line with the PLC’s core philosophy to revolutionise the global banking industry and make access to the global marketplace as seamless in Africa or Asia as it is in Europe or the United States.
Richard Shearer, CEO of Tintra PLC, explained: “Having worked with emerging market clients for many years, I have experienced first-hand the sheer challenge and prejudice that individuals residing in regions like South Asia experience when just trying to conduct a simple financial transaction to an advanced economic country, like the UK.
Whilst we at Tintra work hard to develop advanced end-to-end AI tech that will revolutionise how compliance between developed and emerging market economies works, we are also conscious of the many vital causes, like the British Asian Trust, who are also dedicated to end injustice, inequality and poverty and therefore extend our support to their mission.
We believe that our own philosophy combined with the objectives of charities like the British Asian Trust has the potential to level the playing field and ultimately, to change the world for the better.”
Founded in 2007 by the Prince of Wales and a group of pre-eminent British Asian Business Leaders, the British Asian Trust has established itself as pioneers in Social Finance and is committed to unlocking new capital to address the most urgent issues of South Asia.
Focused on enabling financial institutions, EMI’s, multi-nationals, and large corporates in the emerging world to gain access to banking systems that understand their geographic need, Tintra is publicly listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and also available on the OTCQB Venture Market in New York.
In early February 2022, the PLC announced the appointment of Dr Vanessa Neumann, a prestigious diplomat, author, and entrepreneur, to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director to help drive its international interests, particularly in Latin America.
