Birmingham’s entrepreneurs took over their local HSBC UK branch this week to showcase their businesses as part of the bank’s UK-wide Small Business Pop-Up Week.
A number of local businesses, including Ingmans and Lucy & Jane Jewellery, were setup inside HSBC UK’s New Street and 1 Centenary Square branch, giving them a chance to meet new customers and spread the word about their products and services.
The week-long event commenced on Monday 10 June, with the UK-wide initiative seeing more than 590 businesses being given prime space within their local HSBC UK branch to promote their products and services.
Peter McIntyre, Head of Small Business Banking at HSBC UK, said: “Small Business Pop-Up Week provides a great opportunity for many small, local enterprises to better connect with their local community. The initiative supports the growth ambitions of these entrepreneurs by offering them a space free of charge to showcase their products and services, meet and network with potential new customers and increase awareness of their businesses.
“This is part of HSBC UK’s commitment to supporting small UK businesses and since we launched in 2016, more than 4,200 businesses have taken part.”
