Walsall-based home assistance company boosts its investment in its home town club as part of an ongoing five-year partnership

HomeServe branding has now been installed on the Saddlers’ largest stand ready for the start of the 2018/19 football season

Leading home assistance provider HomeServe painted its home town red on Monday 18th June as it unveiled its brand sponsorship of the iconic North Stand at Walsall Football Club.

The stand, which was previously known as the Tile Choice Stand and is seen by millions of drivers every year as they pass the stadium on the M6 motorway, has now been re-branded in the company’s famous red colours and re-named the “HomeServe Stand”.

Work has been ongoing over the last couple of weeks, and the new branding is now in place ready for the recently announced pre-season friendly against Stoke on July 14th.

The investment in the stand is part of a five-year commitment by HomeServe and is in addition to the shirt sponsorship, which was showcased to fans for the first time with the release of the new 2018/19 kit earlier this month.

The new branding was unveiled today at a special event at the Banks’s Stadium attended by HomeServe’s Brand Director John Greaves as well as Saddlers Chief Executive Stefan Gamble, first team manager Dean Keates and players Liam Roberts and Liam Kinsella.

“This is another major milestone in the partnership with our home town club, and a very proud day for all of us at HomeServe,” said Brand Director John Greaves.

“HomeServe celebrates 25 years in Walsall this year and today we employ more than 1,100 people in the town, many of who are passionate Saddlers fans. Over the years, the town – and in particular its people – have been incredible supporters of our business and we want to recognise and celebrate that by giving back. This is us saying we’re proud to call Walsall our home.”

The investment in the club and in the HomeServe Stand, which holds 5,000 Saddlers supporters on match days, has been warmly welcomed by the club.

“The continued support of HomeServe – one of the region’s biggest employers and an incredibly successful blue chip business – is fantastic for a club with the ambitions we have,” said Stefan Gamble, Chief Executive at Walsall FC.

“Walsall is home to both of us, and we’re very proud of that, and it’s investments like this that reflect our confidence that this club has a bright future ahead of it both on and off the pitch.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to build on our already strong relationship with HomeServe in the coming years.”

HomeServe has been a proud supporter of The Saddlers since it signed its first sponsorship deal with the League One side back in 2014.

The partnership, which runs until the end of the 2021/22 season, will take HomeServe’s support to eight years, making it the firm’s longest ever community sponsorship commitment.
