Temozolomide is primarily used to treat glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain tumour. Unfortunately, only 2% of patients with this type of tumour survive longer than 10 years. The discovery that at least one patient received temozolomide for over 15 years has raised significant concerns about patient safety and the adherence to treatment guidelines.
