Caroline Bailey, founder and life and soul behind Hunkington House Kitchen has been shortlisted for the prestigious Special Recognition Award at the Woman Who Solopreneur Awards 2024 which takes place tomorrow (3rd October).
This honour recognises women who have demonstrated exceptional resilience, dedication, and innovation in their business journeys.
When Caroline started Hunkington House Kitchen back in 2018 she never expected the journey to be so exciting and if you’d told her six years ago she would be teaching people to bake all over the world she’d have said that’s impossible!
Being brought up with home cooked delights and learning from her Nan at an early age sparked a passion that has led her on a long path to where she is now and she truly believes that this really is just the beginning.
Caroline’s entrepreneurial journey started over 6 years ago, primarily as a wedding cake designer but the desire to teach people how to bake delicious home baked delights was too strong to ignore. So when covid struck and all weddings were postponed or cancelled, online baking classes began and Caroline has not looked back.
Caroline’s nomination stands as a testament to her remarkable achievements as a solopreneur, overcoming the many challenges to build a successful business to now launching a brand new Bake With Me club empowering people to bake delicious healthier food in an easy to follow way and all from the comfort of their own kitchen.
Caroline said “the Woman Who Solopreneur Award application took me on a journey of reflection which let’s face it we rarely take time to reflect on our journey and how far we have come and it also gives me hope and excitement for the future. Winning the award would be truly amazing however whether I win or not I am just proud to have had the confidence to apply and hope it inspires other female business owners to believe in themselves, as amazing things can truly happen.”
