Jemma Nelson and her family are emigrating to Australia next month and are giving someone the chance to win their home in a raffle instead. One lucky winner will win the life changing prize of a mortgage free property valued at £225,000 for just £3.50.
Jemma said: “I grew up a few streets away from the house. When Craig and I were dating we would walk down our street all the time dreaming that one day we’d own a home there. We’ll be sad to say goodbye, but also thrilled to give someone else the opportunity to make memories there. I know how hard it can be to get a foot on the property ladder, especially in the Hull area, so we thought this would be a way to help change someone’s life like ours is going to when we move Down Under. ”
The house is a 3 bedroomed detached property at the end of a cul-de-sac in East Yorkshire and has been valued at £225,000.
It comes with a garden and a driveway with space for two cars and an electric charging point.
Jemma adds that while the raffle ticket costs slightly higher than a lottery ticket, the odds of winning are much higher.
If the competition is a success and all tickets sell, we are hoping to donate £20,000 to 5 charities.
