Wellness Week makes a return to the Nottingham City Centre

Wellness Week, the highly successful initiative from Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) returns for its second year with workshops, exercise classes and a wellness market.

The Wellness Week campaign is designed to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of people that work for BID members.

This year, Wellness Week kicks off on Monday 28 January and Nottingham BID will be distributing wellness packs to their office members.  These will contain various ideas and goodies to help people combat stress in the workplace.

To start the week there is an early morning session of aerial yoga that will be taking place on Monday 28 January from 7am to 8am at the Circus Hub in Sneinton Market. This is free for people to attend but spaces are limited and booking is essential – email: [email protected] to reserve a place.

People will also be encouraged to leave their desks throughout the week at lunchtime to enjoy an exercise class such as Zumba, Pilates, Kettlebell or Spin at the YMCA Gym on Shakespeare Street and those who attend, will receive a free five day pass to the gym.

Those looking for further fitness fun, activities and advice can head to the Wellness Market on Wednesday 30 January between 11am and 2pm at Nottingham Contemporary on Weekday Cross where guests can enjoy some peace in the mindful area and a range of stalls – all of which have the theme of health and wellbeing with useful information, free samples and giveaways. A circus skill workshop will also be taking place at the Wellness Market allowing employees to work out and get creative in a fun environment.
