Twilight Walk organised to remember the lives of loved ones

This year Mary Stevens Hospice are celebrating their 30th anniversary year by inviting you to take part in their “Light The Night Walk”.

The event has been organised by Hospice staff and the 5k sponsored walk will take place on Friday 8th October during dusk. The evening will see supporters sparkle in their best light up and glow in the dark clobber and set out on a twilight walk from Hagley Cricket Club to the Hospice… and back!

The walk has been organised so that members of the community can come together to remember their loved ones during a stunning twilight walk, walking for those they love and raising funds for the Hospice. Adults, children and dogs are all encouraged to take part in the event, with t-shirts, light up accessories and a doggy good bag all being offered to supporters once registration is complete.

Alongside supporting the Hospice through signing up to take part in the walk, supporters are invited to raise sponsorship to help the Hospice ensure that they can continue to care for members of their local community in their greatest time of need.

Following a tough year in regards to fundraising and not being able to see their community face to face, staff from the Hospice are looking forward to what is set to be a beautiful evening.

James Totney, Community and Events Fundraiser at The Mary Stevens Hospice said: “Following various virtual events during this difficult time, we are super excited to bring an in person, family event to you. We absolutely love holding events for our community so it’s been really tough to not be able to host these and see our community come together in support of the Hospice.

For the meantime, it’s back to planning the event to make this an evening to remember.

We can’t wait to light up the night with you on the 8th October!”

Until the 21st May, you are able to sign up for the Light The Night Walk whilst places are on an early bird offer. The registration fee covers the cost of running the event and details of registration can be found on the Hospice website: www.marystevenshospice.co.uk/event/light-the-night-walk/.
