Tomes PR – The special relationship continues between the UK and USA

L-R: Barry Tomes and Monica Price

Tomes/Price Production are excited to announce a new UK/USA collaboration with Coachella Valley High School, California working with their Digital Design and Production Academy, headed up by Monica Perez.

Following the successful completion of the short film ALTITUDE 5400, which involved the DDPA students utilizing their skills with production, directing, filming and editing, the film was broadcast in the UK on XPTV1. The film has been hugely successful and streamed globally on XPTV1 – the television company based in the UK and Spain.

Barry Tomes and Monica Price head up Tomes/Price Production and they both visited the school in May this year to present the class with a Certificate of Achievement for all their dedication and hard work on the film.

This brand new six month project is to be part of their Work-Based Learning Programme and will involve working with the students of the DDPA to produce THE MONICA PRICE SHOW. The show is a chat show hosted by Monica Price where she interviews celebrity guests, influential business leaders and musical artists.

The schedule will be to produce and broadcast one show a month to be broadcast on XPTV1. Scheduling and dates to commence the project will be for this school year (August 2024 – June 2025) and both Tomes and Price fly out to California later this month to start the project.

Price said “ I am passionate about doing all I can to help and support young students studying to work in this industry. This opportunity will give the students real time experience in broadcast production and to work on a show that is broadcast in the UK and worldwide. I am so excited to be involved with this project”.

Tomes said “I would love to see more media attention in this region, as every year the Coachella Valley Music Festival takes place and has global recognition. What we would like to do is to develop a long term relationship with the area, and in particular with the talented students at the school. This is going to be a hugely successful collaboration and one that I am proud to be a part of”.
