Tea-riffic party to support local women affected by breast cancer

On Monday 18 March Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford are busting out the biscuits, boiling the kettle and inviting you to join their Big Tea Cosy tea party, any time between 1.00pm and 3.00pm at their centre on St Owens Street.

With a wide range of mouth-watering homemade cakes and treats, great raffle prizes, interactive games and of course plenty of tea and coffee available it promises to be a real feel-good community event. Every cup of tea sold and slice of cake enjoyed will help people going through one of the most difficult times of their lives.

This year organizers intend on making it bigger and better than ever before, setting their sights high with the aim of raising £1,000. By raising £1,000 the charity will be able to provide a complementary personalized programme of one-to-one support for someone affected by breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford also hope to inspire the local community to embrace the cold weather, cosy up with friends and loved ones and ‘make a brew for breast cancer’ by holding their own tea party between 1-31 March 2019.

Six women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer every hour. Since opening in 2004 Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford has supported over 2822 women (and some men). This campaign aims to inspire people to see what they can do to raise money, as well as reveal what Breast Cancer Haven can do to help. By holding a tea party and raising just £40 will help pay for a counselling session to support someone suffering from breast cancer.
