Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity is calling on kind-hearted supporters from across the region’s business community to join its first-ever Birmingham to Amsterdam bike ride.
Taking place from 5-8 September 2019, this epic challenge will see supporters of all abilities cycle 237 miles over three days to help raise vital funds for the sick kids and their families cared for at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Saranne Moreno, Corporate Strategic Partnerships Manager at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We are so excited to announce our first-ever cycle challenge from Birmingham to the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
“After a number of requests for a bike ride starting in our home city, we’re really pleased to be able to offer this unique fundraising challenge to our dedicated corporate supporters. Whether it appeals to you as an individual or as a group of employees this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all involved, and a great opportunity for companies to take up the challenge as part of their charity initiatives or CSR plans all while helping us to raise vital funds.”
Connecting two of the world’s biggest cities, the journey starts at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where an army of loyal supporters will wave the cyclists off. After an overnight ferry to the Hook of Holland, the journey will continue past iconic windmills and along classic Dutch cycle lanes before arriving in the final destination of Amsterdam.
This event is open to anyone over the age of 18-years-old, with any level of cycling ability and the minimum fundraising target is £1,650.
