Staysure founder and Chairman, Ryan Howsam alongside, Mayor of Northampton, Cllr. Tony Ansell and other Staysure employees at the official opening of the company’s new offices

At an exclusive opening ceremony the Mayor of Northampton, Cllr. Tony Ansell officially opened the brand-new office space for the UK’s number one over-50s travel insurance provider, Staysure.

Hosted by Staysure founder and chairman Ryan Howsam and CEO Julian Kearney, alongside special guest pro-golfer Gary Orr, Cllr Tony Ansell officially opened the doors, to give guests and employees the chance of a full tour of the new workspace and introduction to the offices.

Following significant business growth, the award-winning travel insurance providers has moved to a larger, more-modern premises in Britannia House; accruing more space to service an ever-increasing demand for travel insurance in the over-50s market.  As part of the move, Staysure has initiated a large local recruitment drive, supporting the community and opening positions across its Sales and Service Consultants teams, in search of over 200 new staff.

The new office at Britannia House not only gives employees a spacious and more dynamic working environment to enjoy, but has a subsidised canteen and social hub where their staff can get a hot nutritious meal, grab a coffee to go or relax with a friendly game of pool on their lunch break. And for one day only, the office also played host to a putting tournament, with Scottish Senior Open champion Gary Orr setting the par for the day. Staysure employees will have the opportunity to compete for the best scores to win prizes as part of the office launch celebration.

Staysure founder Ryan Howsam commented: “Remaining a local business as a part of the community in Northampton was a fundamental part of our search for new premises; the town has always been our home and we wanted it to remain that way.  Having seen such success and significant growth over the years, we needed to expand our office and modernise the workspace to accommodate a flourishing company.  Choosing always to employ the best in the business, meant we had the task on our hands to create an environment fit for those employees, which is exactly what we’ve done at Britannia House.

I’d like to personally thank the Mayor and Mayoress of Northampton and Gary Orr for being part of our special opening event and look forward to what the future brings.”

Mayor of Northampton, Cllr Tony Ansell commented: “It’s fantastic that such a nationally known business choses to remain at home in Northampton.  I’m always keen to support local companies and the fact that Staysure provides such a significant number of jobs for the local community is hugely positive for our wonderful town.

“The new office space offers a fantastic environment for the business to continue to grow and I wish them every success in their new home.”
