St. Modwen expands Longbridge dining options with new vendor

Expert developer and regeneration specialist, St. Modwen, has further expanded the food offering at Longbridge Shopping Park by welcoming popular fast food restaurant, KFC, to the site.

The American restaurant chain has taken an 10-year lease on a 1,127 sq ft unit at the Shopping Park and will open its 18-seater restaurant in December. The addition to the site is expected to create 30 new jobs in the area.

This new KFC is part of the chain’s roll out of smaller restaurants, with a focus on slick service, take out food and a small casual seating offer.

The restaurant adds to the Shopping Park’s existing food and drink establishments, which includes three cafés (M&S Café, Sainsbury’s Café, Costa Coffee), two pubs (The Cambridge and Beefeater), a bakery (Gregg’s), a sandwich shop (Subway) and a takeaway Italian (Stone Papa’s Kitchen).

Longbridge Shopping Park, developed by St. Modwen, was sold in May this year (2018). St. Modwen owns and continues to maintain the Park Point development on the site, which is part of the developer’s headquarters and sits above Costa Coffee and the incoming KFC restaurant.

Gemma Butler, Asset Manager at St. Modwen, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming KFC to Longbridge, as it brings another dining option to those who live, shop, work or study in the area. The small unit lends itself perfectly to KFC’s new kiosk format and we hope it will be well received by Longbridge residents and visitors alike.”
