Ski it to believe it – Jet2.com puts seats to the snow on sale from Birmingham Airport for Winter 19/20

After expanding its Winter Sun and City Breaks programmes for Winter 19/20, there’s snow way Jet2.com wanted skiers to miss out, so the leading leisure airline last week announced a bumper ski programme from Birmingham Airport too!

Next Winter, the UK’s Best Airline* will operate flights to FOUR top ski destinations from Birmingham Airport: Geneva, Grenoble, Salzburg and Turin.

With almost 50,000 departing seats on sale, Jet2.com is offering skiers a choice of weekday and weekend flights, perfectly timed for those looking to hit the slopes next winter – whether it’s over a weekend, a short break, or longer.

Key ski programme developments for Winter 2019/20 from Birmingham Airport include:

  • Almost 50,000 ski seats on sale to four ski destinations
  • Geneva – three services per week means over 17,000 seats on sale, with Thursday, Saturday and Sunday services providing great choice and flexibility as well as options for the long weekend. The gateway to the Swiss and French Alps, Geneva opens up some of the very best ski resorts such as Tignes, Flaine, Verbier, Zermatt and the Three Valleys.
  • Grenoble – two weekly services, operating on Saturdays and Sundays, means over 12,000 seats on sale. Host of the 1968 Winter Olympics, Grenoble offers the perfect gateway to the French Alps, with over 175 incredible ski resorts nearby including Morzine, Chamonix, Chamrousse, Les Deux Alpes, Alpe d’Huez and Avoriaz.
  • Salzburg – a weekly Saturday service means over 7,000 seats on sale, opening up the Austrian Alps and over 300 resorts including Kaprun, Mayrhofen and Obertauern.
  • Turin – over 10,000 seats on sale thanks to weekly Saturday services. The legacy of Turin’s 2006 Winter Olympics means that skiers can enjoy speedy transfers to well-established ski resorts such as Pila, Vars, Le Corbier and Val d’Isere. With 400km of piste at the Milky Way area alongside the stunning mountainous backdrop of the Monterosa network, there is plenty to go at.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “We have a choice of four fantastic ski destinations on sale next winter, with perfectly timed flights departing from Birmingham Airport. With more choice and flexibility, skiers and snowboarders can hit the slopes for a weekend, a short break or for longer, whilst flying with our award-winning airline and benefitting from 22kg of baggage and ski allowance.”
