Former England Rugby coach Sir Clive Woodward OBE is set to speak at the ‘Expert Board Advisor Event’ later this month, announced by business consultants Champions (UK) plc.
The event is set take place at the Kimpton Fitzroy London in the city centre on September 26th in partnership with Allica Bank, The NED Advisor and Board Champions.
Woodward will be accompanied by Gareth Davis, former CEO of Imperial Tobacco and renowned as the 13th best-performing CEO of all time (The Harvard Review).
His transformative leadership as coach saw England launch themselves from sixth to the world’s top-ranked team, securing every major trophy throughout his tenure. Outside of rugby, Woodward has served as Director of Sport for Team GB during their successes in multiple Olympic Games.
His triumph in a squad environment has since seen the former England coach enter the world of business, advising organisations on how to optimise their leadership and team dynamics.
Davis, on the other hand, is best known for leading Imperial Tobacco through a period of significant growth and transformation. He has also held Chairman roles at the likes of Wolseley and William Hill, and currently represents DS Smith plc as Chairman and Gresham House plc on the board.
Matthew Hayes, Managing Director at Champions, will introduce and host the event.
