A Shrewsbury-based printing business has upgraded its facilities and moved to new larger trading premises with the support of a five-figure funding package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

Creative Digital Printing Solutions (CDPS), which was acquired by leading printing business KJB Group in March 2017, designs and produces a range of bespoke marketing and branding printed products to global brands, including Muller and The Morris Group, as well as more than 2,000 SMEs across Shropshire.

The funding from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking’s West Midlands team has enabled the business to move to a new 4000 square foot office and adjacent manufacturing premises on Shrewsbury’s Battlefield Enterprise Park after outgrowing its previous base.

The relocation will significantly increase the firm’s production capabilities and comes at a time when the business is focusing on doubling its production in order to boost sales. The funding from Lloyds Bank has also enabled CPDS to invest in software, such as graphic 3D product point of sale modelling, and additional state-of-the-art wide format printing and cutting machinery to grow its specialist on-demand digital printing service, which will drive 25per cent of the business’ growth.

Stephen Egerton, Director at Creative Digital Printing Solutions, said: “Moving to the new premises was a natural step for us to accommodate new machinery and our growing staff numbers. With demand beginning to outstrip supply, we also needed to boost our production capabilities to enable the business to fulfil its potential.

“The funding from Lloyds Bank has given us the firepower to boost our product offering, customer satisfaction and overall business growth.”

Abigail Holloway, Relationship Manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “Creative Digital Printing Solutions is an evolving business with strong ongoing strategic investment and growth plans. At a time when increasing digitalisation is affecting the printing industry, the team is adopting new technologies and expanding its resources in order to maximise growth.

“We are fully committed to supporting firms like CDPS  that are creating local jobs to meet demand and improve customer experience, and is part of our commitment to Helping Britain Prosper.”
