Shakespeare Martineau welcomes raft of new trainees to Birmingham office

New Shakespeare Martineau Trainees

Law firm, Shakespeare Martineau, has welcomed three trainees into its office in Birmingham, as part of its continuing push towards fostering new talent.

The trainees include Victoria Kirkpatrick in the dispute resolution team, Adam Watson in the construction litigation team and Gweni Rees-Evans in the corporate team.

Meanwhile, across the rest of the firm, Sam Naunton and Dominic Simon both join the Nottingham office, in the dispute resolution and professional negligence and corporate teams respectively. Sam will also be spending time in the Leicester office, alongside Oscar Ciaurro who is joining the real estate team.

Lastly, Georgia Keogh joins the London office’s real estate team.

The new recruits will be working within their teams and across a variety of specialisations to hone their skills and gain practical experience in an energetic legal environment. They will all undergo training and receive guidance through the Shakespeare Martineau Academy, a programme for cultivating both new and existing talent by setting objectives, establishing capability targets, and involving trainees in development workshops.

The Academy also acts as a meaningful support network, by signposting the assistance available from line managers and team leaders.

Helen Hay, Head of HR at the firm said: “Our new trainees have all proven themselves to be discerning, diligent and highly-skilled individuals, as well as being valuable team players. We are delighted to welcome them on board here at the firm and I look forward to watching their progression.

“We are always looking to nurture new talent and champion the next wave of legal experts. As we continue to grow the firm across our regional geographies, our clients can be assured that we are ready and prepared to provide the very best advisers, both now and in the future.”
