RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch came around and the Birdwatch adventures began at Fountains Care Home in Shirley, Solihull.
Residents really enjoyed spending time in the grounds and watching out for birds and making bird feeders for our feathered visitors.
The bird feeders were made using lard, seeds and fruit and so much fun was had hanging them out in the gardens and observing the birds enjoying the feeders.
There was also bird themed crafts and the work produced by our talented residents was really lovely.
Everyone enjoyed watching the Big Garden Birdwatch virtually on the big screen and using their tally charts to tick off the different species seen to report to RSPB.
The Big Garden Birdwatch was finished off with an episode of spring watch and a nice cup of tea with a slice of cake, enjoyed from the comfort of a warm armchair after all the outdoor pursuits.
