Fast growing civil and structural engineering consultancy CWA Ltd has promoted four of its associate engineers to associate directors as its order book continues to expand.
The Birmingham-based consultancy has promoted Matthew Hughes, Andrew Godbar, Andrew Hardy and Matt Endacott to associate director status.
Matthew Hughes joined the Birmingham-based consultancy as an associate structural engineer in 2017. He was previously a divisional director with Rodgers Leask, managing their London and Birmingham offices.
A civil engineering graduate of Coventry University, he began his career at Cameron Taylor Bedford. Aged 46, his areas of expertise include industrial and manufacturing facilities and managing large-scale developments.
Andrew Godber joined Great Charles Street-based CWA in 2015. He was previously senior structural engineer in the Solihull office of Arup.
Aged 40, he worked at Arup for 14 years, building up a wealth of project experience, particularly in the public sector, defence and education sectors. He began his career as a graduate engineer with Stewart and Harris after graduating with an honours degree in civil engineering from the University of Warwick.
Andrew Hardy joined CWA as an associate civil engineer responsible for the day to day management of the CWA civil engineering team. He was previously a senior engineer with Arup in Nottingham and Solihull, and spent three years working with Arup in Qatar. He worked on several major projects in Qatar including the Qatar National Museum and the Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies. He also worked in Moscow on a brewery development.
Aged 39, his areas of expertise include infrastructure design, highways, earthworks, utilities and flood risk.
Matthew Endacott, aged 42, joined CWA in 2011 having worked at Cox Turner Morse for nine years. He graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1998 with a Masters degree in civil and structural engineering.
He has worked on a wide variety of projects, particularly in the residential, healthcare and education sectors.
CWA Director Steve Wedge said the consultancy was expanding rapidly across all sectors with a wide range of projects, and putting good, senior people in place was part of the consultancy’s growth strategy.
“These four have proved themselves to be associate engineers of the highest calibre while they have been at CWA, to the benefit of our wide range of high profile and blue chip clients,” he said.
