Nuneaton charity receives boost from Amazon Coventry

Nuneaton-based charity, Outreach and Community Action Project has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon team in Coventry.

Outreach and Community Action Project received the donation as part of the “Amazon In The Community” programme whereby the company supports the communities around its operating locations across the UK.

The charity was founded in 2011 by a group of dedicated individuals who wanted to make performing arts more accessible for children and young people.

The group currently meet in Hartshill Community Centre but through fundraising have secured a dedicated space which will be ready in September 2020.

To mark the donation, volunteers from Outreach and Community Action Project invited the Amazon Coventry team to visit members of the organisation and to join in with one of the classes.

Speaking on the donation, Adam Banks, Site Leader at Amazon Coventry, said: “On behalf of the Amazon team in Coventry I would like to say a big thank you to Outreach and Community Action Project for inviting our team to take part in one of their sessions. It’s great to know there is a place like this within our community where local children can access theatre and performing arts. We are glad this donation has helped the project secure a permeant residence.”

Claire Davey from Outreach and Community Action project, added: “On behalf of Outreach and Community Action project I would like to say a huge thank you to the team from Amazon in Coventry for this generous donation.
