A long-established Chasetown construction company, with developments throughout central England, has completed its first housing scheme in its home town.
Cameron Homes has regenerated a prominent location just a few doors away from its head office in the High Street.
The firm has provided a range of properties on the site which was used by the Collis furniture store and a former Victorian chapel.
“Having expanded into seven Midlands counties over recent years, we are pleased to have now built a new development so near to our head office,” said Beverley Coleman, sales manager of Cameron.
“This is an exciting, attractive project and is bringing new life to a prominent location in the High Street and helping to revive the area.
“Cameron is a family owned company which has been based in Chasetown for over two decades. Our sites are located around towns including Stratford on Avon, Birmingham, Burton on Trent, Shrewsbury and Derby so it is great to be ‘coming home’.
“There has been a great reaction from local people to the new scheme, called Chapel Court, as a welcome addition to the High Street. Everyone is pleased the site looking so much brighter and to see families moving in,” she added.
The furniture store, which used the chapel for storage, re-located to Burntwood after 120 years on the site.
Work on the seven homes, which includes houses and bungalows, is now complete, with the several sold already. A sales office and view home is open on Friday, Saturday and Monday from 11am – 5pm.
