Milton Keynes Lightning players with hospital and charity staff and patients on the children’s ward

Players from ice hockey team Milton Keynes Lightning paid a visit to patients on the children’s wards at Milton Keynes University Hospital today.

The visit, which was organised by Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, welcomed players to the ward to give out Christmas gifts and spread festive cheer to local families.

Lewis Clifford, Head Coach and General Manager at Milton Keynes Lightning, said: “The players were delighted to visit the children’s wards today to give out presents. The gifts, which have been generously donated by our fans from our annual Air the Bear, will hopefully brighten up their stay.”

Jenny Howells, Senior Fundraiser at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, added: “It was wonderful to invite the Milton Keynes Lightning players in to visit the children today, the smiles and excitement on the ward was brilliant – thank you so much to the players and supporting team for giving up their time to come and visit us.”
