MK Dons players visit Milton Keynes University Hospital Children’s Wards

Young patients on the children’s wards at Milton Keynes University Hospital were treated to a special Christmas surprise on Tuesday when players from the MK Dons Football Team paid them a visit.

Each year Milton Keynes Hospital Charity organises this exciting festive visit from the football club, and welcomed MK Dons manager Russell Martin along with first-team players Lee Nicholls, Dean Lewington, Kieran Agard, Conor McGrandles, Jordan Houghton and Joe Mason.

Russell Martin, First-Team Manager of MK Dons, said: “The Christmas visit to the children’s wards is one of the highlights in the Club’s calendar. The players really enjoy meeting local families and having the opportunity to give out gifts. This year the players also clubbed together and purchased a games console for the ward to enjoy!”

Jenny Howells, Senior Fundraiser at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity, said: “We are very grateful to everyone at the MK Dons and we always look forward to their Christmas visit! It’s really lovely to see the positive impact this has on our families – thank you so much.”
