Arca is an eclectic lifestyle and homeware brand based in Norfolk. With a range of curated products from around the globe, Arca provides the latest trends to brighten any home.
Arca’s mission is to offer a better customer experience when it comes to homeware shopping or choosing the best gifts to our loved ones, seeking to bring joy and creativity to their customers in-store and online.
The locally-based founder, Samantha Elliott, discovered her passion for interiors after uncovering her creative side whilst working on a venue refurbishment project. Igniting a love for design, she swapped the world of accountancy for retail, and Arca was born.
Sam’s eye for colour and design showcases her creative passion which she was not previously able to explore in her finance role. Now, Sam can delve into that world by picking and choosing the best products sourced from distinguishing suppliers. She discovers these goods from across the world, and says her love for joyful decor is intensified by her exploration in other countries, trawling through treasure trove stores that are hidden away.
Samantha’s goal is to help others obtain pieces that spark their soul, just like hers did when she found her purpose, her way of continuing to the world is offering unique products not available elsewhere. She is inspired heavily by culture, surroundings, emotion, their different styles, staple products and the design processes – these factors influence Sam’s decision making when selecting her special items which can be found in Arca. You can see from the range of Arca products that Sam and her taste gravitate to Dutch, Scandinavian, bohemian-glam aesthetics.
“I love the process of choosing what goes well with what, what looks good in a space, deciding on different styles and incorporating the right designs, I constantly have customers commenting they have found products they have never seen elsewhere – it’s such a rewarding accomplishment and allows me to stay creative.” – Samantha Elliott
The name “Arca” comes from Latin and means “chest of valuables”, outlining the experience offered by the store: a place to find hidden gems, a cornucopia of everything bold and beautiful. “We want to offer a unique selection to dress our customer’s homes, mixing elements, colours and styles in a way that people don’t usually do”, says Elliott.
Arca isn’t about following design rules, but about taking a chance on something different, going on a journey of exploration. Products can be found in-store or on Arca’s e-commerce website. For more information please visit their Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest.
