A team of budding footballers at Polegate Grasshoppers FC have received an end of season boost with a new addition to the squad – new rain jackets from a local pallet distribution company.
The under 13s white team, which was formed last season, are now well protected against the elements thanks to Hailsham-based firm, Pallet-Track Sussex, who is the sponsor of the new jackets.
Melanie Cooper, general manager at Pallet-Track Sussex, said: “Polegate Grasshoppers does a fantastic job encouraging children of all abilities to get active, play, and enjoy, football.
“The club is firmly established as a key part of the community in Polegate and Eastbourne, so we’re delighted to support the under 13s white team and help keep them dry should the weather take a turn for the worse.”
Amie Legate, head coach of the under 13s white team, said: “Many thanks to Pallet-Track Sussex for the jackets which has given added motivation for the team.
“The team started the second half of the season with a bang, three wins in a row, 2-1, 5-0 and 2-1. The new green waterproof jackets courtesy of Pallet-Track gave them a newfound confidence.”
