The Mary Stevens Hospice are inviting the local community to remember and reflect the lives of their loved ones under the Tree of Light this year.
The Hospice will be offering two opportunities for the local community to come together in remembrance of those who have passed.
The first event will be in the Hospice grounds on Saturday 20th November at 5.00pm. This will include the annual switching on of the tree lights and refreshments will be available.
A repeat of the service will then be held on Wednesday 24th November, 7.00pm, at St Mary’s Church, Oldswinford. Guests will be invited afterwards to view the Tree of Light and enjoy some refreshment at the Hospice.

Keith Judson, Spiritual Care Coordinator at The Mary Stevens Hospice said: “Special poems or readings, which may be included in the services, should be sent to myself by 13th November at keith.judson@marystevenshospice.co.uk.
Music will be provided by Black Country Brass, the Mary Stevens Hospice Choir and soloist Emily Carew-Gibbs.
Through music, poetry, quiet reflection and the lighting of candles the aim is to provide something for everyone, whatever their background or beliefs.”
In Patient Unit nurse, Sue at The Mary Stevens Hospice said: “When the Tree of Light is lit for the first time each year it is a very special moment. During night shifts the lights twinkle away making us smile when everyone is sleeping.”
Disabled parking is only available at the Hospice. In case of inclement weather Saturday’s event may be relocated to St Mary’s Church, this information will be published on the Hospice website and Facebook page: www.marystevenshospice.co.uk or www.facebook.com/marystevenshospice/.
