Market Harborough-based Battery Store employee to raise funds for Cancer Research UK at Ultra White Collar Boxing event

Jordan Elmore from Market Harborough is taking his charity fundraising into the boxing ring as he fights at the Ultra White Collar Boxing event at the King Power Stadium in Leicester on 29 June 2019.

Jordan Elmore is a Senior Area Sales Manager at specialist battery retailer, Battery Store, based at Welland Business Park in Market Harborough. Battery Store will be sponsoring him for the event, in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Since it originated in New York in 1988, Ultra White Collar Boxing has become the fastest growing corporate contact sport in the world. Participants receive eight weeks of free training at a local boxing gym with professional boxing coaches. At the end of the training, Jordan will be fairly matched based on weight, fitness, ability and age with an opponent from the same training group to ensure a fair competitive bout. All boxers wear 16oz gloves and head guards.

Jordan Elmore commented: “I’ve experienced the effects of cancer on my own family as I’m sure most people sadly have, and was keen to support the work of Cancer Research UK. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the training for the Ultra White Collar Boxing event. Fighting at the King Power in front of around 800 people will be a real experience and hopefully we’ll make a significant donation through our sponsorship efforts.”
