Leading lawyer joins Wesleyan Members Advisory Board

House of Lords Commissioner for Standards and former Law Society President, Lucy Scott-Moncrieff CBE, has been appointed to the Wesleyan Members Advisory Board.

Lucy joins fellow legal professionals Michael Smyth CBE, QC (Hon); Greg Lowson; James Badenoch QC and Laurie Watt on the Board.

The Wesleyan Members Advisory Board was established in 2005 to ensure that the voices of Wesleyan’s members and its professional customers are represented at the highest level. Wesleyan provides specialist financial advice for lawyers, medics, dentists and teachers.

Lucy Scott-Moncrieff said: “I’m delighted to join this Board of eminent professionals and work with Wesleyan to make sure their financial services remain relevant as the face of our professions continue to change.

“Wesleyan puts a huge amount of energy into understanding its customers to deliver a personalised service. I’m looking forward to sharing my expertise of the legal profession and representing the voice of members and customers.”

Lucy co-founded Scomo, the UK’s first virtual law firm in 1990.

Dr Craig Errington, Wesleyan Group Chief Executive and Chair of the Members Advisory Board said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Lucy to the Board. Her experience and knowledge will really help us to make sure that we are providing financial advice and services that truly meet the needs of our members and professional customers.

Other members of the Advisory Board are Professor Dame Parveen Kumar, Professor Steve Field, Shalin Mehra, Hew Mathewson, Martin Bircher, John Gillies, Judith Husband, Hamish Meldrum, and Brian Cookson.
