Leading law firm bolsters dispute resolution team with new recruit

Leading East Midlands-based law firm Nelsons has boosted its expert dispute resolution team in Leicester, after welcoming a new associate and solicitor as part of its continued expansion within the city. 

Hayden Mellowship has more than seven years’ experience and qualified as a solicitor in 2021 while working at Rutherfords LLP in Tamworth. He specialises in commercial litigation, while also focusing on commercial property disputes and insolvency.

He said: “I am thrilled to have joined a law firm with such an excellent reputation. It is clear to me that Nelsons is an law firm that is committed to empowering its clients and puts them at the forefront of everything they do. The firm is constantly looking to expand and develop and is well-deserving of its reputation as an East Midlands powerhouse, so joining at this time is truly exciting.

Hayden graduated from the University of Wolverhampton, with an undergraduate in Law (LLB), before going on to complete his masters at the same university and then his professional skills course at the University of Law. While studying, he completed work experience at Rutherfords LLP where he would eventually complete his training to become a solicitor.

He added: “I decided to specialise in commercial litigation because of the scope to help people within it and my previous experience has enabled me to jump straight in to supporting Nelsons’ clients and I’m excited to see what the future holds.

“I am also looking forward to working closely with the rest of the dispute resolution team so that we can continue to develop the team and expand the client base.”
