A Bromsgrove legal firm has donated over £500 to a local charity as part of its ongoing fundraising efforts.

Staff at High Street-based mfg Solicitors held events throughout the past 12 months for the Touchstones charity, a local cause which provides bereavement support across North Worcestershire.

The events included associate and wills specialist Kim Scolari running a half marathon with the firm also holding office sweepstakes, raffles and a popular cake sale.

Kirsten Bridgewater, partner and head of mfg’s CSR committee said: “Our staff in Bromsgrove have made a great contribution to our charitable giving in the past 12 months and have done so much to help the amazing team at Touchstones.

“All of the initiatives have helped to raise funds which are vital if Touchstones are to continue to make a difference to the lives of people and families they support.”

Vicki Quarton from Touchstones added: “We thank everyone at mfg Solicitors for their support. Their fundraising activity has been brilliant and they’ve shown such a commitment in so many ways throughout the past year.”

Ms Bridgewater added that mfg Solicitors will announce its chosen charities for 2019 in the coming weeks, following a staff vote.

Based in Bromsgrove and Redditch, Touchstones Child Bereavement Support helps around 100 children and young people every year cope with the death of someone really important in their lives, like a mum or dad. The charity also helps them to deal with their feelings like guilt and anger, as well as the terrible pain of bereavement. It is also a safe haven where they get to meet other young people like themselves.

Staff at mfg in Bromsgrove will continue to hold a variety of fundraising events throughout 2018.
