Baldwins, one of the UK’s fastest growing business advisory firms, has made a key appointment in the Midlands as part of its continued expansion.
Richard Sydenham has been appointed as Associate Director in Baldwins’ Banking and Finance team due to increasing demand for its services.
He will be focused on providing tailored advice to business owners on raising finance to support growth, help with cash flow and other business finance requirements.
Richard brings with him over 10 years’ experience within the SME finance marketplace, having started his career at NatWest in Birmingham in 2007 as a business manager, leaving as a relationship manager in 2013.
After spending some time out travelling, Richard returned to the SME market place, working for a new start FinTech business who specialised in Invoice Finance and most recently has worked for the largest independent finance business in the UK.
He has now joined the Banking and Finance team at Baldwins and will be mainly based in the East Midlands.
Richard said: “This is a great time to be joining Baldwins since it is growing at a rapid rate.
“I’m really looking forward to engaging with colleagues across our Midlands offices to support both existing and potential new clients with their funding needs, as well as working to attract new clients to the firm using my extensive network of local bank managers and trusted advisors.”
Richard joins an 11-strong Banking and Finance team at Baldwins and will be working alongside Mark Huddlestone, Director for Banking & Finance in the Midlands.

Baldwins’ Banking and Finance offering was set up five years ago under department Head Martyn Shakespear.
