KEMP welcomes visitors to their annual plant fair

KEMP Hospice are inviting the Wyre Forest community to join them for their annual plant fair supported by Kidderminster Horticultural Society on Saturday 5th June from 10am to 1 pm to support the charity’s vital work in their community.

The event will take place in KEMP’s hospice garden and a wide range of greenery will be available to purchase. Various local garden centres and nurseries have supported the event with donations of plants or flowers including: B&Q Kidderminster, Bill White Nurseries, Bishopswood Nursery, Blue Cedars, Bournewood Nursery, Cook’s Garden Centre, De Beers Garden Centre, Hodgehill Garden Centre, Hopley Farm and Gift Shop, Rowberry’s Nursery and Farm Shop, Stone House Cottage Nurseries, Whitlenge Gardens and Woodrow Nurseries.

Proceeds from the event will support KEMP’s essential care and support of local families and their carers experiencing life-limiting conditions and bereavement. With the pandemic continuing to have a huge effect on the charity’s income, the Wyre Forest Hospice continue to adjust their fundraising initiatives, in line with government guidelines.

Coralie Hudson, Fundraiser at KEMP Hospice, said: “We are so excited to be able to invite visitors to our beautiful garden. After a year of cancelled in-person events, now restrictions have slightly lifted we can’t wait to host our event! We hope it won’t be long until our fabulous community are also able to start hosting their own events to raise vital funds to support our care. We have really missed supporting them.”

There will also be a raffle and refreshments will be available to purchase. To keep visitors, volunteers, and staff safe, the event will strictly follow the latest Government guidance and will operate a one-way system.
