KEMP encourages local schools and clubs to take part in their Rudolph Run to support local hospice care this December

KEMP Hospice are inviting local schools and clubs to have some festive fun this December and host a sponsored Rudolph Run as part of the local charity’s first ever event of this kind.

Each school or club chooses their date, distance, and location such as the playground, school hall, field or local park and every child participant registered will receive free special Rudolph antlers and a red nose to wear in time for the event and keep.

The Wyre Forest hospice hopes to raise a significant amount in sponsorship to support KEMP’s free essential care and support of local families and their carers experiencing life-limiting conditions and bereavement this Christmas and beyond.

Coralie Hudson, Fundraiser at KEMP Hospice, said: “We are so excited about our first ever Rudolph Run! How local schools and clubs, such as cubs and brownies, take part as everyone’s favourite reindeer is up to them and we think this will encourage some very creative ideas from our supporters, however, for a dash(er) of inspiration, we have suggestions on our webpage!

“We would also love to see grown-ups take part too! Each school or club will receive a Santa suit for their headteacher or leader who pledges to get involved!”

Rumour has it that KEMP staff and volunteers will be making the rounds to local schools from this Tuesday (21st September) wearing their reindeer antlers and noses to talk about the exciting festive event.

For more information and to take part, please register your school or club by Friday 19th November at www.kemphospice.org.uk/rudolphrun. Numbers are limited, so it is advised to book early.
